JAMMU, Feb 26: Amid rumors of replacement of Principal of Medical College Jammu, several important documents are lying unsigned by the Principal of the Institute for last many months, affecting the functioning of the hospital as well as college.
For example, a Detail Project Report (DPR) of Air Conditioners of newly shifted Surgery Operation Theater at the 3rd floor of the building is gathering dust in the chamber of the Head of the Institute for last some days, brewing great resentment among doctors, staff as well as patients.
One of the staff members told that the problem started since the Surgery OT was shifted into 'Pre-Fabricated' structure at the 3rd floor of the building. A requested was made to hospital administration to make functional the Air- Conditioners of the OT. Mechanical Wing made a DPR, which was submitted to the Principal office for approval but it is pending amid rumours that the principal could be changed.
Slamming the poor vision of administration, angry doctors questioned how will staff conduct Surgeries during summers? Moreover, despite knowing the fact, they installed glasses on a wall of the OT, which will make more difficult for staff to carry out surgeries in prefabricated OT as summer season has begun. |
