Anganwadi workers hold protest, highlight demands | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Feb 26: Anganwadi Workers on Monday held a demonstration under the banner of Anganwadi Workers Welfare Union to press their long pending demands. Protesters on the occasion shouted slogans in favor of their demands and urged upon the government to take immediate and effective measures in this regard. Addressing protesters, Association President Swaran Choudhary, General Secretary- Neelam Sharma and General Secretary of Bhartiya Mazdoor Sangh Jammu and Kashmir- Ashok Choudhary urged upon the Union and State Governments to consider their genuine demands. They demanded en hancement in honorarium, regularization of workers having completed 10 year service, implementation of new pension scheme to workers and helpers, implementation of free group insurance scheme etc. Present were Lakshman Ravinder, Subash Verma, Koushaliya Devi, Jyoti, Veena Devi, Perseno Devi, Anjana Kumari, Neelam Devfi, Anita Devi and Sharda Devi. |
