Healthy India Stronger India gets best NGO award | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Feb 26: Healthy India Stronger India (HISI), Chairman Hira Lal Abrol has been bestowed with "Best NGO - Rising Star of India Award" for excellence in Social Service. He received this honour at a glittering ceremony during the '15th National Excellence Award-Green Ambassador's Summit 2017' at Constitution Club of India New Delhi. Healthy India Stronger India is the only NGO to receive this award; it is recognition of excellent performance and outstanding contribution towards the upliftment and development of human values and social welfare of society in India. Chief Guest, Valmiki Prasad Singh, Former Governor of Sikkim & Former Director of The World Bank, New York and Guest of Honour Padma Bhushan Dr Bindeshwar Pathak, founder of Sulabh International presented this award to the Chairman, Healthy India Stronger India during the Summit. 'Healthy India Stronger India' a unique foundation established exclusively for charity; at Raghunathpura, Jammu. The NGO is running a 'Free Training Centre' for skill development of needy children from BPL families. The training centre offers 3 months, free courses in Basic Computers; Cutting & Tailoring Classes; Beautician Course as well as Free Library for the students. 450 students have passed out after successful completion of courses from this centre. They have been placed in various organizations and some of them have even started their own ventures. It is heartening to see that they are earning a good livelihood for their families and are living a respectable life in society. |
