| Sanskrit scholars condole demise of Kanchi Shankaracharya | | |

Jammu, Mar 1: Shri Kailakh Jyotish Avim Vedic Sansthan Trust President Mahant Rohit Shastri and other Sanskrit scholars expressed their deep condolences over the passing away of Kanchi Shankaracharya Jayendra Sarswati ji at Raipur Domana.
Trust President Mahant Rohit shastri said that on his death, people of India have lost a great source of inspiration and the vacuum caused in his death shall hardly be filled for decades in future. Mahant Rohit Shastri said Kanchi Shankaracharya Jayendra Sarswati ji was a well known scholar of Shastras . The 82-year old head of the Kanchi Mutt was suffering from diabetes and had collapsed at the mutt with shortness of breath and was admitted to Chennai's Ramachandra hospital last month. On occasion Dr. Chander Mouli Raina said Jayendra Sarswati ji was a greatly improved Sanskrit scholar and a dynamic personality. He termed his demise a great loss. |
