| Clashes erupt after forces launch search operation in Chandgam Pulwama | | |

Pulwama, Mar 1: Clashes erupted in Chandgam Tahab village of Pulwama district on Thursday after forces launched a cordon-and-search-operation (CASO) in the area.
A witness said that youth took to streets and clashed with forces after the CASO was launched on Thursday evening.
"A group of locals resorted to stone-pelting to disrupt the CASO. However, forces responded by lobbing teargas shells, triggering clashes," said an eye witness.
Jammu & Kashmir police, Army's 55 Rashtriya Rifles (RR) and 182 Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) had jointly launched the operation. An official said that the search operation was launched after specific inputs about the presence of militants there. |
