Jammu, Mar 5: Director General of Police (DGP) Dr. S.P.Vaid today launched Website and Mobile Application of Jammu and Kashmir's first all girls' society committed to empowerment without Gender Bias at Police Auditorium, Gulshan Ground, Jammu. After launching the website and mobile application, DGP (J&K) Dr. S.P.Vaid welcomed the initiative and applauded the young group of girls graduating from Government College for Women (GCW) Parade, Jammu for having come-up with a society with an agenda to work for betterment of all. He said "People often take to social work after retirement from the government services or in their old age but for these girls to have come-up with a society within shortest possible times speaks in volumes about their eagerness to work for the betterment of the society." "I commend them and promise them all possible help from the police department. These girls have launched this NGO at the most opportune time. Need of the hour is transparency and accountability of highest order. |
