Jammu, Mar 6: Beti Bachao Beti Padhao Awareness Week Celebrations, GGHSS Rehari Observed Sticker /Slogan Competition on the Theme of Beti Bachao Beti Padhao with the aim of creating awareness among the students. Hundreds of school children Participated in the Competition. After the Competition All the Students, School Teachers along with the Principal Rajni Kotwal on Tuesday staged a walk rally here to acquaint the denizens about the awareness Beti Bachao Beti Padhao. The children, carrying Sticker/Slogan to highlight the need for preservation of the Girl child, marched in a procession through various localities, covering a distance of about 1 kilometer and Pasted Some Stickers/Slogans with the Message of Beti Bachao Beti Padhao on the Wall of J&K Bank and State Bank of India, Rehari. All the Students and staff members Play a Vital role in the Campaign to Create awareness about Beti Bachao Beti Padhao. Some Slogans and Posters are also posted on the Wall of School premises. Some of the Stickers/Slogans read "Stop gender-based violence", "Save girl child, save human race", "Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao, India ko age badhao". Principal Rajni Kotwal in her address, said the programme was organised to support girls and women and to create awareness on gender equality, discrimination, and violence against women. Stating that women right is a human right and gender equality is not a women issue but a human issue, she appealed to stop gender-based violence and also create a better environment for the girl child. |
