Three times increase in defence budget by China is worry for India: NCP | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Mar 6: Former Minister Thakur Randhir Singh, and President Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) J&K state said in a statement that the 8.1% increase in the China's budget which unveiled on Monday is higher than last year's budget allocation , when China upped military spending by 7% over the previous year. Singh said the increase in China's budget by 8.1% this year is three times higher that India's latest Defence budget of about USD 46 billions is a worrying point. Singh said China kept its 2018 economic growth target at around 6.5 percent, the same as in 2017 despite the pick up in growth. Singh strongly supported General Bipin Rawat Chief of Army staff statement that Economic Development , modernization in Army must go Together . Singh condemned about those who question the budgetary allocation to the Armed forces we have to build and develop confidence among the investors that nations border are secure and the internal security situations are under control for which there is requirement for budget for the Defence forces . Singh demanded more money from the govt as part of effort to modernize the Defence forces as China and Pakistan's proxy war which is a regular since 1947 to date to bleed the Indian nation is a worrying point for the nation. |
