Jammu, Mar 7 : United School Teachers Association (USTA) today stage a protest demonstration under the leadership of Roop Chand, Shankara Singh and Zulfquar Ali in support of their demands.
The protesters raised several demands, including revocation of order to close schools on the day of Board Examination, release salary of teachers working under SSA/RMSA on monthly basis regularly, release 10-15 month salary of ReT teachers regularized during 2013, 2014-15 onwards
Keeping in views non-detention policy up to 9th class, engagement of teachers in non-academic duties during whole academic years, untimely trainings schedule and large number of vacant posts in rural areas schools, annual increment of teachers should not be linked with board results.
