Jammu, Mar 7: Blaming the state government for the ongoing situation of band and agitation in Nowshera, Sunderbani and Kalakote, Kuldeep Kumar Rao an active Member of Movement for Peace, Equality & Justice has demanded up-gradation of these Sub-divisions to level of ADC to resolve the issue and hold serious and sustained dialogue with prominent leaders and representatives of agitating people for the creation of District at a mutually acceptable and suitable place to all areas.
Rao appealed the State Government to Up-grade Thathri Sub-Division , Nowshera, Sunderbani and Kalakote, like that of Basohli, Billawar & Bhadarwah. The up-gradation of Billawar & Basohli Sub- Divisions in District Kathua to the status of having Addl. Dy. Commissioner in June, 2017. The Public of Sub-Division Thathri have termed the same as a pick & choose policy of the BJP-PDP coalition government ignoring the strong & genuine claim of other deserving Sub-Divisions.
They said that without framing any concrete policy in up-grading such administrative units, such attempts tantamount to appeasing certain political bosses with political considerations as has also been done in case of Bhadarwah Sub-Division. It appears that the present coalition Government has surpassed the previous successive Governments, in doing irrational, illogical & arbitrary acts purportedly in public interest. |
