Jammu, March 7: Police today claimed to have arrested a class fourth employee posted in SPMR College of Commerce and recovered 3 gram heroin from his possession at Canal Road.
Police said that a police team led by Incharge Police Post Canal Road, SI Sohan Singh intercepted a man near Goel Lane, Bhagwati Nagar.
Police said he tried to escape but police party chased him and nabbed him after some distance. The suspected person has been identified as Vikas of Bhagwati Nagar, working as peon at Commerce College Jammu.
During his personal frisking, three grams of heroin like substance has been recovered from his possession. Accordingly, a case FIR Number 25 of 2018 under section 8/21/22 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Nowabad and investigation started.
A police party led by Sub Inspector Sohan Singh, Incharge Police Post Canal Road, Jammu in co-ordination with Inspector Neeraj Bhagat, SHO Police Station Nowabad made the arrest under the supervision of Pranav Mahajan, SDPO City North and Dr. Vinod Kumar, SP City North Zone Jammu. |
