Ramban, Mar 7: Two day Basic Life Support Training (BLST) for the doctors, para- medical and other staff of Ramban, Doda and Kishtwar districts concluded at the Sher-e-Kashmir Accident Emergency Hospital, Batote today. It was organised by the Directorate of Health Services Jammu and was first introduced in the state by the International Red Cross Society in 2015. During the training as many as 20 trainees selected from Ramban,Doda and Kishtwar districts were trained in providing the initial support at the site of incidence or mishap to the victims of road accident, burn injuries, drowning, household injury, choking, heart attack, fall etc. so that the victims get the initial life saving support to save their lives and also from getting their agonies aggravated. The resource persons included the Training Head, Dr. Sanjay Sharma, District Immunization Officer Samba and assisted by Dr. Mridula Singh, Medical Officer, Samba, Randev Singh, Community Health Officer, Block Marh and Sunita Devi, MPHW, Sarwal. They trained the trainees by mock drills and creating the imaginary situations of mishaps. On the first day CMO, Ramban, Dr.Saifuddin Khan presided the training session in presence of BMO, Batote, Dr.Shakeel Ahmed Sumbria. These 20 trainees who were trained as Master Trainers will further train their colleagues of other organizations in their respective areas. |
