Jammu, Mar 7: On third day of Sports Tourney 2018, Badminton Women matches were played at Govt. M.A.M. College, Constituent Colleges of Cluster University of Jammu.
In singles match Shivani of Govt. College of Education defeated Priya of Govt. M.A.M. College by straight sets 15 - 8, 15 - 8. In doubles Shivani & Shikha defeated Priya & Mukshi of Govt. M.A.M. College by 15 - 6, 15 - 9. Govt. College of Education won by 2 - 0. In first semi-final match between GGM Science College and Govt. S.P.M.R. college of Commerce Parul defeated Sakshi by 15 - 10, 15 - 12. Shabnam & Parul defeated Sakshi & Riya by15 - 4, 17 - 15. GGM Science College won by 2 - 0. In second semi-final match between GCW Gandhinagar and Govt. College of Education, Arushi defeated Shikha by 10 - 15, 15 - 6, 15 - 13 and in doubles Arushi & Urmila defeated Shanu & Shivani by 15 - 10, 15 - 13. GCW Gandhinagar won by 2 - 0.
In the final, GCW Gandhinagar defeated GGM Science College by 2 - 0. Shabnam defeated Arushi by 15 - 8, 15 - 5.In doubles, Parul & Shabnam defeated Arushi & Urmila by 15 - 8, 4 - 15, 15 - 10.
Prof. Subash Chander, HOD Sanskrit and Dr Twinkle Suri, DSW Cluj also graced the occasion.The matches were organised under the guidance of Sumnesh Sharma Physical Director M.A.M College and his team. Mahesh Sharma, Physical Director, GGM Science College was also present on the occasion. Vikram Jamwal from youth services and sports, Mr. Rahul National Badminton Player, Subash and Mr. Rohit were the official involved in the smooth conduct of matches. |
