Early Times Report JAMMU, Mar 7: Twenty two Jammu theatre groups, active actors and directors today submitted their representation to Jammu and Kashmir Academy of Art, Culture and Languages (JKAACL) communicating their consent to be part of the Jammu Weekly Theatre Series (JWTS). The representatives of the theatre groups and individual theatre practitioners had met earlier on Sunday to form a consensus to communicate their consent to Secretary Aziz Hajini expressing desire to participate in the Jammu Weekly Theatre. Hajini, who already had assured to take personnel care in starting the Jammu Weekly Theatre Series on the pattern already stared in Kashmir had expressed that Jammu NGOs should reach his office as soon as possible so that modalities be chalked out for its early start. "I had wished such representation should have come far earlier and the process had been rolled out till now. But since theatre Olympiad is in session , Jammu Weekly Theatre could start only after Olympiad's completion in first week of April," said Hajini. The secretary called upon his Officer on Special Duty (OSD) and assigned him a duty to call all the groups' representatives and the active theatre practitioners on first available priority so that a draft resolution could be framed for executing the Jammu Weekly Theater Series. All the groups' representatives and theatre practitioners expressed gratitude to Aziz Hajini for taking up the cause of Jammu theatre which was long pending. Natrang, Rangyug, Amateur, Samooh, Shivani , Rangshala, Yamini , Bhoorang, Performers included the groups while Kumar A Bharti, Kusum Tickoo, Mohan Singh, Neha Lahotra, Umesh Singh, Rattan Doshi, Sapna Soni, Anuroop Pathania , Aditya Bhanu, , Sunil Sharma, Saurab, Rohit Bhat and Seema Sharma were also present. |
