HC upholds single bench verdict against 'deadwood' order | | | Early Times Report Srinagar, Mar 31: The Jammu and Kashmir high court on Thursday upheld its single bench verdict on government order regarding a KAS officer Mohd Yousuf Bhat who was prematurely retired in 2015. "In view of the proceeding analysis, we do not find any ground to entertain the appeal. In the result, the appeal fails and is dismissed along with all the connected MP(s)," said a division bench of Justice Alok Aradhe and Justice M K Hanjura. In 2016, the Single Bench of Jammu and Kashmir High court had quashed Bhat's premature retirement and directed the Government to reinstate him. The writ court judgment was challenged and the government in the appeal sought to set aside it and treat Mohd Yousuf Bhat as others as dead wood and not further required for Government services. |
