srinagar, Mar 31: Dr Mohammad Shareef, MD, Sheep & Sheep Products Board, J&K today took over charge of the Director, Sheep Husbandry, Kashmir in place of Dr M Ramzan who demitted office on attaining the age of superannuation.
Dr Shareef hailing from Nubra, Leh had his school education from Nubra and later joined SP College, Srinagar. Later he graduated in veterinary Sciences from Bihar Vety College, Patna in 1984. he did his Masters in 2004 from SKUAST.
Dr Shareef brings with him a very rich experience. After joining the department in 1985, he served in various capacities in the department including a stint in Nobra as SDO and then as Distt Sheep Husbandry Officer Leh till 2014. He joined as Joint Director, Extension from 2014-2017.
In Aug 2017, he was elevated as MD Sheep & Sheep products Board J&K. Earlier in 2012 he was inducted in to KAS but he refused to join.
