Workshop on Basic Hindi Reading, Writing inaugurated | | | Early Times Report
Thanamandi, Mar 31: The second Annual Ten Day Workshop on Basic Hindi Reading and Writing was inaugurated at Govt. Degree College, here. Principal of the college, Prof. (Dr.) Shakeel Ahmad Raina was chief guest on the occasion who inaugurated the workshop. The workshop is aimed at teaching the students basic skills in reading and writing Hindi, and is the second iteration of the workshop, which was first organized last year. Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Shakeel Ahmad Raina highlighted the importance of learning the National Language of India. He also pointed out that learning of languages is not restricted to any community, and learning Hindi will open up new avenues of knowledge for the students. He emphasized that if the students learn Hindi, they would be able to read the great books written in Hindi, which would greatly benefit them in the long run. Earlier the programme started with welcome address by Dr. Poonam Rani, organizing secretary of the workshop. The programme was compared by Prof. Rizwan Ahmed Khan, while vote of thanks was given by Prof. Ashfaq Hussain. Prof. Shaji Khan also spoke on the occasion. All faculty members and a large number of students attended the programme. |
