| CCS attends birth anniversary of Kargil martyr Major Ajay Singh | | | | Jammu, Mar 31: Child Care Society today attended the birthday ceremony of Major Ajay Singh Jasrotia organised by the local residents at Jasrotia Park in Sainik Colony. He was from 13 JAKRIF and a Kargil Martyr. He attained martyrdom on 15 June 1999. He got injured in the battle field while evacuating injured soldiers in the battle field. He refused to be evacuated till other soldiers were shifted to safer places and later succumbed to injuries in the battle field itself. While paying tributes Chairman Child Care society, Karandeep Singh Lucky said that the act of bravery done by the martyr shall never be forgotten and Child Care society salutes his supreme sacrifice for the people and nation. He added that it is the duty of one and all to learn from such heroic acts of braves and we all should be always ready to sacrifice ourselves for the motherland. |
