Udhampur, Mar 31: An essay writing competition in Hindi, English, Urdu and Dogri on the Topic "My School" and Athletic activity was organized in the Model HSS Boys Udhampur on the last day of Academic session 2017-18.
In the event more than 100 students of class 11th participated, the students presented thought provoking views on this topic. Later prizes were distributed among the students who have got 1st , 2nd,3rd , first Position bagged by Rahil , 2nd position shared by Vinay and Deep Kumar and 3rd position secured by Angrez Singh and Ram Krishan and in Athelitc 1st, 2nd and 3rd position were shared by Govind, Parshotam and Sahil respectively.
All these students were honored by the Principal of the Institution Ved Parkash Sharma.
Govt. Model Hr. Sec. School, Udhampur is the oldest and one of the most prestigious schools in Udhampur Dstrict, which is situated in the heart of Udhampur Town spreading over 16 kanals. It was established in 1936, it is a Govt. institution run by the School Education Department, Govt of J&K.
Over 1300 students are studying in the Institution. This institution has all the facilities like ICT Lab, Smart Class, EDUSAT, NCC (Senior and Junior Division), Hostel (For SC Students) with well Equipped Library and Science laboratories. This school is also having herbal Garden, park and two playgrounds.
This Institution has also got the intelligent and experienced teaching faculty for all the subjects. This Institution has got many prizes in sports and extracurricular activities. The Institution has also won the prestigious Rolling Trophy initiated by the Deptt of Police (SSP) Udhampur on the occasion of Republic Day 2018. |
