Early Times Report Jammu, Apr 9: Public Rights Foundation (PRF) today expressed resentment over release of controversial movie Nanak Shah Fakir. Addressing a press conference here today, Chairman PRF, Amandeep Singh release of movie that portrays Sikh Gurus as member of their families not acceptable by any means. Sanjeev Sharma, General Secretary, PRF also said that the government should understand the sentiments of Sikh community. "The character of Guru Nanak Dev Ji might have been depicted indirectly, but any human playing characters of members of families of Sikh Gurus cannot be tolerated," he said and added that movie is in the gross violation of Gurmat (Sikh Ideology). "Portraying role of Guru Sahiban and great Sikh figures by an individual goes against the tenets of Sikhism", he said and adsded that who is playing role of Guru, is just a face and it seems anti-Sikh lobby is encouraging him to set wrong trend in India. Waseem Dar, Vice President, PRF warned that if censor board would not act they will be compelled to come on streets and he has requested CM Mehbooba Mufti to intervene and ban movie in J&K. |
