Current Tourist season
UNDER CLOUD
R.B. SURI4/9/2018 11:46:53 PM
The situation in the valley is becoming worst day by day. Now the students of the colleges and schools have also jumped into the fray and are also pelting stones on the Army / Police and are raising their voices in favour of Azadi. This is very shocking and unfortunate . Hurriayat is giving the calls of shut down almost everyday throughout Sinagar and all over the valley , the people are coming out from their houses and participating in the protests and demonstrations actively . The leadership of the Separatists is not interested to see the up liftment of the poor masses of the valley but they are mindless offensive and taking the people at ransom . They don't want that the valley people should progress in this competitive World . It is a hard fact of life that there exist the best talent in the valley as the youth of the valley are very intelligent and sharp in their aptitudes . It has been seen in the past they made the dent in the country's competition examination history in which one of them scaled the TOP rank 1 in IAS in the civil services examination . Also at abroad , they have shown their best talent and are manning the top posts in the governments of UK, USA , France , Germany, Canada etc.etc. and big Corporate as well . There is no substitute for them . Bloodshed is not controlled at all as the State Government has failed on all the fronts . Last month several incidence of violence and stone pelting have occurred in the valley over the vehicles of the visiting tourists were stoned in which some of them received the injuries . Height of the situation that in the functions presided over by the Governor Vohra was conspicuous by the absence of the state ministers as they are maintaining the distance with the mala fide attention. Really the situation in the valley have taken the new shape. Not only this, the Ministers are not going in their respective constituencies resulting which the gap between them and the people is being widened . They are planning to join their hands with the Hurriayat amalgamation to achieve their goals in connection with retention of the Article 35 A of the Indian Constitution as it is .All the acts of theirs are dangerous for the current tourist season which is coming to halt due to the continuous disturbances and disruptions leading to the total chaos and lawlessness in the valley. Also there are inputs with the intelligence agencies that large scale infiltration of the militants across the borders is expected in the coming days to vitiate the atmosphere further in the valley at the behest of the PAK Army and the ISI as they are bent upon to destabilize the state fully so that tourists from other parts of the country and from abroad also don't come in the valley for their enjoyment and recreation etc. At the same time, Indian Army is fully determined to neutralize the militants coming from the other side as the same has been given the powers and the free hand to deal with the situation strongly . Also there are reports that the State Government is not going to honour its commitment made to the employees for the implementation of the 7th CPC from April 1st. resulting which it is apprehended that the employees would also be going into the fray which is being spearheading by the Hurriayat group. If the State Government will not implement the 7th CPC from April 1st it is apprehended that they will be forced to come on the streets so as to get the 7th CPC implemented . Shopian and Pulwama incidents are serious in which innocents were killed . Need of the hour is that there should not be any sort of any mistrust between the employees and the State Government. After April 1st, some normalcy came on April 7th when some trade business was done by the business community and the shops and establishments were opened in the main markets in the valley. Seeing the worst position in the valley, many countries have issued the various Advisories their citizens not to visit Kashmir these days as there is a threat to their lives . However despite of this , Indian and Foreign tourists , while showing their courage and keenness to visit Kashmir for seeing the beauty , sceneries of the valley and also famous DAL LAKE are still coming to enjoy their stay in the valley. But their numbering is small which is matter of concern for all of us . Still hope is there that the normalcy will come definitely in the valley in the near future .
Kashmir is burning these days because of non seriousness attitude of the State and the Central Governments since independence. They have made Kashmir as a mess . After the killing of dreaded HM Commander Burhan Wani , Kashmir unrest is in place. Innocents are being killed and thousands getting the the severe injuries. Many injured are being discharged from the hospitals after their treatments and still hundreds are being treated medically in the various hospitals in the valley. Convening of various meetings at New Delhi and Srinagar will not tangle the ongoing unrest as the unemployed of the state of Jammu and Kashmir want their immediate settlement as they are at present jobless since more than a decade or so resulting which they are feeling helpless and the Separatists and the Hurriyat top functionaries want a dialogue with government without any further loss of time . Under the prevailing circumstances, an appropriate dialogue process be initiated and the unemployed youth be accommodated at the earliest . All the political parties have their own game plans about the Kashmir politics and the vote bank in the valley. They have the habit of keeping their cards close to their chests always and they go on en cashing their vested interests . The people of the state at large through their right to franchise have already played their role J&K Legislative Assembly elections in 2014. Their coming out from the houses particularly the unemployed educated youth in very large numbers in taking active part in participating in the elections process have strengthened the very roots of the parliamentary democracy in the country in general and the state in particular. Their role is magnificent and appreciable because of the reason that they have shown the separatists and the militant outfits the out gates thereby rejecting their dictates and boycott calls for not taking part in the Government of India governed electoral process in the state . Giving Jobs to the un- employed youth of J&K or in the alternative, announcing of unemployment allowance on monthly basis was the major plank of the Coalition Government headed by Omar Abdullah. Same was the case with both the parties BJP and PDP in power at the moment headed by Mehbooba Mufti .The separatists and the militant outfits plan in such a way that the tourist season is disturbed and the tourists to the valley should face the number of difficulties resulting which they prefer to go back to their homes immediately from the fear of death or injuries to their bodies . In 2016 , Burhan Wani episode happened and after his killing there was total chaos and unrest in the valley and several people were killed . In 2017 in the violent incidence security forces firing three civilians were killed who were pelting stones on the Army convoy and a FIR was registered at Police Station against Major Aditya Singh and others . Major Aditya Singh's father had gone to the supreme Court of India against the FIR filed against his son and got the direction from the Apex court to the State Government not to act upon the FIR as no FIR can be filed against the Army and its Officers as long as the AFSPA is in operation in the valley . For several days , the valley remained under curfew those days . This year too , the separatists and the militant outfits have a definite and specific planning for disturbing the tourist season this year too . The study of Kashmir unrest reveals that the leaders of the Hurriayat Conference and the militant outfits are bent upon to vitiate the atmosphere as per their choice and to please the enemy across the borders .Enough is Enough. The Central Government should not show any laxity further in order to protect the Integrity and the Sovereignty of the nation . It will be in the overall interests of the country ultimately. The current tourist season is under cloud these days which need to be checked at once otherwise our economy would be affected much and the poor people of the valley would be deprived of their livelihood in these days of high inflation . It is highly painful that every year they are affected by such like unrest in the valley because of no fault of theirs .
