| Football Competitions gets underway | | |  Early Times Report
Kathua, Apr 9: The Department of Youth Services and Sports started its Inter Zone District Level Football Competitions under Let's Play Football co-branded with Khelo India a Central Sponsored Scheme at Sports Stadium Kathua and Police lines Kathua for under 12, 16 and 19 years boys and girls under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Rohit Khajuria KAS. The matches for boys were played at Sports Stadium Kathua and girls competed at Police Lines Kathua.
355 players of all 12 zones of District participated on inaugural day of the tournament. The tournament was inaugurated by District Youth Services and Sports Officer Subash Chander Bhardwaj.
Meanwhile Zone Kathua and Zone Sallan emerged as winners of Under 12 years football trophies in boys and girls sections respectively. All the participating players were awarded with track suits by the District Youth Services and Sports Officer Subash Chander Bhardwaj. |
