BMO finds Govt health Centre locked, employees absent | | | Early Times Report Rajouri , Apr 19: Block Medical Officer (BMO) Kotranka , Dr Iqbal Malik has attached the entire staff of New Type Public Health Centre situated at village Sawari as the health centre was found locked at about 1.30 pm. BMO said that a letter will also be forwarded to CMO for the suspension of the staff by the higher authorities. Pertinent to mention here that Dr Suresh Gupta, CMO vide his office order No.CMO/R/2018-19 dt 3/4/18 has seized the powers of all the BMOs in the district to take action (including suspension) against the erring officials if found absent during surprise inspections. Sources said that at about 12.30 pm on Tuesday residents of Swari village under Kotranka Health Zone informed Dr Iqbal Malik, BMO about the health centre being locked . BMO deputed a team from his office to authenticate the complaint and at about 1.30 pm the team found the health centre locked. Residents of the area also raised slogans against the health authorities in the presence of inspection team and alleged the one Pharmacist namely Mohd Riaz seldom attended his duties. "All the staff members, including Dr. Zubin Choudhry, Mohd Riaz , Pharmacist; Ram kali & Veerta Devi , both FMPHW; Akhtaer Ali Shah, Nursing Orderly; Mohd Sahffi and Khadim Hussain both Safai Wala, have been attached with the office of BMO and their salaries were also stopped till further action" said BMO, Dr Iqbal Malik. "All the necessary arrangement has been made to provide new staff at NT PHC at Sawari by Thursday" said BMO. |
