Kathua Bar Association denies allegations before Bar Council of India team | | | Early Times Report
Kathua, Apr 19: A Bar Council of India (BCI) team visited Kathua today to examine the facts over protest by Bar Association Kathua. The BCI team headed by former high court chief justice Tarun Aggarwal and comprising two co-chairmen of the council, S Prabhakaran and R G Shah, advocate Razia Begum and independent lawyer Naresh Dixit today visited Kathua Highly placed sources said that Kathua Bar Associations denied the fact that they have blocked the roads leading to the court where Crime Branch officials were filing the challan of Kathua rape & murder case. Bar members who were present in the meeting said that they have some misunderstanding with local police resulting into a scuffle between the bar and the police. However, they failed to provide an answer with regard to the video in which the bar members of Kathua were seen shouting a slogan "Go Crime Branch Go Back". Sources told Early Times Bar Association members of Kathua said that they too want justice in Kathua rape and murder case and the call given earlier for Jammu Bandh was taken back on April 12. |
