Jammu, Apr 26: Lakshay Gandotra, of class X-E of DPS Jammu brought laurels to the school and his parents by securing 2nd prize in u/14 category in 21st Mainichi Haiku Contest-2017 organized online by the Mainichi Newspapers Co. Ltd, Japan, the result for which was declared on March 10.
Lakshaya was awarded with a commemorative plaque and a copy of anthology, comprising award- winning haikus composed by the participants from all over the world. Only two persons from India have won this award this year with Lakshaya as one of the winners for his haiku.
Principal, DPS Jammu, Ruchi Chhabra congratulated the budding gem and his parent for the achievement and also encouraged other children to take interest in such literary activities. |
