| Unidentified snatchers flee with over Rs 9 lakh | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Apr 26: In broad day light, four unidentified snatchers carrying weapons allegedly snatched over Rs 9 lakh from representatives of a pharmaceutical dealer of Jammu travelling a car near Chowki Chowra area. Police sources said that one Anil Sharma alongwith Parlahad Singh of Pargwal and four medical representatives of Ajay Medical Trader City Chowk Jammu namely Ajay Singh, Ajay Sharma both residents of Janipur colony, Divesh Sharma of Sanjay Nagar Jammu and Karun Sharma of Rajpura were on way to Jammu after collecting money from retailers of Rajouri area in an innova car bearing registration number JK02BQ-4035 and while reaching near Nonath at Chowki Chowra, four unidentified snatchers travelling in a car bearing registration number JK11-3563 coming from same direction allegedly fired one round with the fire arm resulting busting of one tyre of the Innova.
Sources further said that the miscreants brandished weapons and looted the cash amounting Rs 9 lakh. Police sources said that exact snatched amount could not be ascertained yet but the estimated cash worth over Rs 9 lakh has been snatched.
Police sources quoting the complainant further revealed that the snatchers were also possessing sharp-edged weapon with them. After getting the information, all the naka points were tight and manhunt to nab the absconding snatchers has been launched. Police have registered a case in this connection and started further investigation and parties have started search of the absconding snatchers. |
