| YCET organizes guest lecture by IBM, HCL | | |  Early Times Report
JAMMU, Apr 26: Department of Computer & IT Engineering of Yogananda College of Engineering and Technology (YCET) organized a guest lecture by experts from IBM and HCL here today.
Er. Sahil Sharma Executive (Marketing) All Soft Solutions IBM channel partner was the resource person for the first session.
He briefed students about new technologies such as Internet of Things, Big Data, Cloud Computing, JAVA and other IBM software like DB2 and Bluemix. He also provided career guidance for the 6th semester students of Computer and IT Engineering. The session concluded with a technical quiz in which the winners were given goodies from IBM. The second session was conducted by Balbir Singh from Infologic IT solutions (formerly HCL).
It was a hands-on session on PHP where students were practically demonstrated PHP and database connectivity. Both the sessions were very informative and motivating for the students. |
