| IMS organizes workshop on research methodology | | |  Early Times Report
Jammu, May 2: A workshop on research methodology was arranged in IMS for the faculty members. The resource person was Prof. A.N.Sadhu former Dean Academic Affairs of Jammu University. At the outset Prof. J.R.Dhotra Director of the institute welcomed Prof. Sadhu and thanked him for visiting the college while speaking on the occasion, Prof. Sadhu explained to the faculty members that research is a careful investigation or inquiry specifically through search for new facts in any branch of knowledge.
In addition he also discussed in detail the different approaches of research like Historical Approach, case study, Descriptive, Experimental approach. Thereafter he also explained to the faculty members the different types of research. After discussing these, he discussed how to prepare the research design and finally the writing of report. In addition to the above, Prof. Sadhu also explained the concept of research Methodology and its uses in research studies. The second session of the workshop was conducted by Prof. S.K.Gupta, Dean Academics of the institute. Prof. Gupta explained in detail the various research methods for data analysis. He also discussed the various emerging trends in research. He urged the faculty members to take up the research projects. The vote of thanks was presented by Nidhi Jamwal Chief Coordinator of the institute. |
