SKUAST-TAJ demands special package for additional faculties | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, May 16: Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology - Teaching Association Jammu (SKUAST-TAJ) in a written representation apprised Prime Minister Narendra Modi regarding much required additional faculties viz., Faculty of Agricultural Engineering, Faculty of Horticulture, Faculty of Dairy Technology and Department of Seed Science Technology for SKUAST-Jammu and demanded announcement of Special Financial Prime Minister Package on the eve of 6th Convocation of SKUAST-Jammu, scheduled to be held at Main Campus Chatha on 19.05.2018, that can be utilised for the sanction of much required additional faculties of SKUAST-Jammu. President SKUAST-TAJ Dr Vikas Sharma via representation informed the PM that despite of approval in the Board of Management and University Council in 2005, the proposal of Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology of Jammu (SKUAST-Jammu) for much required three more faculties and one division has been made hostage by the State Govt. to the process of seeking repeated queries from the last 12 years due to lack of funds. Dr Sharma informed that this formal proposal of SKUAST-Jammu for approval is still awaiting nod of the Agriculture Production and the Planning Department notwithstanding the detailed and point-wise justification of the proposal as well as reply to all the queries with regard to required staff strength and budget estimates for the same. |
