| PM to lay foundation stone of Pakal Dul project | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, May 16: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will lay the foundation stone of Pakal Dul HE Project (1000MW) during his visit to Jammu on May 19.
This project is being constructed on river Marusudar which is a tributary of river Chenab in Distt Kishtwar of state. The project willbe executed by Chenab Valley Power Projects [P] Ltd. a joint venture amongst NHPC Ltd. (Govt. of India Enterprise), JKSPDC (Govt. of J&K Undertaking) & PTC India Ltd. Civil Works of power house package has been awarded to M/s AFCON JAL JV. The project shall generate 3330 MU of energy in 90% dependable year. The project shall comprise of 4 units of 250 MW each. The project is scheduled to be completed in 66 months at an estimated cost of Rs. 8112 crores. |
