Early Times Report VIJAYPUR, May 16: Condemning the lathicharge on the teachers at Srinagar during the Civil Secretariat gherao, the Jammu and Kashmir Rehbar-e-Taleem Forum (JKReTF) said that the teachers are on the verge of starvation as they have not received salaries for the last three months. Addressing a large gathering of teachers assembled here today to attend a programme of the Sarv Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA) teachers, Rinku Sharma said the teachers are going through dreadful experience as irregularity of salary is on for the last four years. Unfortunately instead of taking the corrective measures the government tried to crush the voice of the teachers, he added. The teachers warned that if the government doesn't release their salaries within days, they will come on road and hold a strong protest against the government. Among others who were present include Sudhir Singh, Bali Ram, Raj Kumar Dhruv Singh, Naresh Kumar, Pawan Kumar, Mohd Amin, Rakesh Kumar, Mangal Singh and Narinder Singh. |
