| Locals of village Sangur protest for drinking water supply | | | Early Times Report
UDHAMPUR, May 16: Alleging failure of Public Health Engineering (PHE) in providing adequate water supply to them, the villagers of Sangur today held a massive protest.
The protestors also blocked Sangur road. The agitated locals raised slogans against the PHE Department and district administration. They alleged that due to callous approach of the concerned department, people of the area were suffering and their normal life was also getting affected.
The protesters said that they have repeatedly brought the matter into the notice of the concerned authorities but all remained in vain. "Even we have staged protests many times to highlight our grievance but no action was taken in this regard till date and the water supply is still extremely poor as it used to be, letting people to face the worse," they said. |
