AJKPA holds dharna, demands redressal of pending issues | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, May 16: All J&K Patwar Association (AJKPA) today staged a protest dharna to press for its long pending demands. On the third day of the statewide strike call given by AJKPA state body, a large number of Girdawars and Patwaries of district Jammu today assembled at DC Office Complex here and staged a dharna. Raising slogans, the members demanded redressal of long pending demands of the Patwar fraternity. They demanded Grade Pay of Graduate Patwaries, timely DPC of Patwaries and Girdawars, creation of GQ Circles and Patwar Halqas, ban on direct recruitment of Naib Tehsildar, enhancement of allowances for Patwaries and Girdawars, rent for Patwar Khanas (Private accommodation) and construction of Patwar Khanas. The state body has decided to continue its pen down strike call till the demands of the Association are redressed. Those who spoke on the occasion include Senior Vice president, Mushtaq Ahmed Ganai, Provincial president Jammu, Farooq Malik; District Secretary Jammu, Shabir Ahmed and ex-State president AJKPA, Raman Raj Sharma. |
