NPP Supremo urges PM to convene NIC meet for J&K's resolution | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, May 16: Prof. Bhim Singh, Chief patron of National Panthers Party has urged the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi to convene an urgent meeting of National Integration Council in New Delhi to seek lasting resolution of the socio-political problems confronting Jammu and Kashmir and the North-East States. National Integration Council, he said, has not been revived in India after the induction of Prime Minister has created several questions with regard to the bona fides of the ruling party at the Centre. NPP Supremo called on the Prime Minister to convene urgent meeting inviting all former Members of National Integration Council as well as the new ones if there are any and hold a serious dialogue about the urgent steps which need to be taken by the Central Government to seek amicable and peaceful resolution of the situation which has been developing in J&K and the North Eastern States. Prof.Bhim Singh said that NIC is not a political body and represents the voices from all sections of the society. The former Prime Ministers have convened urgent meetings of NIC during the crises in Kashmir, North-East, even during Ayodhya crises to seek the opinion of the representatives of different sections of the society. |
