Stolen tipper recovered, 3 held | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, May 16: In continuation to operation 'Chatak', a drive against vehicle lifters, today AVTAR team headed by SHO Jhajjar Kotli achieved success with the recovery of one stolen Tipper Police spokesman said that on 25th of April of 2018, one Manohar Lal of Dansal reported at Police Station Jhajjar Kotli that his Tipper bearing registration number JK02AB-5448 which was parked on Roadside Dansal has been stolen during intervening night of 24/25-04-2018. Acting on the complaint, a case under FIR No. 34/2018 under section 379 of RPC was registered at Police Station Jhajjar Kotli and investigation started. "During investigation many suspects were rounded up and raids were conducted in suspected locations to recover the stolen vehicle", said spokesman adding that during questioning of three persons Firdous Ahmed of Doda, Mohd Ashraf of Reasi and Kamal Kishore of Udhampur District revealed their involvement in above said theft case. Police spokesman further said that they further told that they have taken the Tipper to Kashmir Valley for sale and on their disclosure, above said tipper was recovered and brought back from Srinagar meanwhile one Maruti Car bearing registration number JK14-7526 used in commission of offence has also been seized. The arrest and recovery was made by the team headed by Inspector Ajay Singh Chib, SHO Police Station Jhajjar Kotli, under the close supervision of SDPO Nagrota Yashbir Singh Salathia and SP Rural Shivdeep Singh Jamwal. |
