| Kamal Mahendru attains superannuation | | |  Early Times Report
Jammu, May 31 : Employees of the divisional office and members of the labour union others bid farewell to Kamal Mahendru, additional provident fund commissioner. Mahendru attained superannuation on Thursday after rendering 31 years of active service in the provident fund wing of labour and employment department.
The farewell party was attended by various union heads and officers, officials of the provident fund organization besides friend and colleagues including family members.
Mahendru, after passing completing his Graduation from Jammu University, joined the department as assistant provident fund commissioner in 1987 and due to his hard work and dedication got promoted to the highest post of the divisional cadre as additional provident fund commissioner, lammu.
During his tenure in the organization despite facing many hurdles faced worked very hard for the organization. His honesty and sincere efforts brought the deposits of the organization from Rs 2 lakhs to present days Rs 14 crore (approximately).
Due to his humanly nature and pro- employee thinking as well as administrative skills and law knowledge initiated legal action against various defaulters both in private and Govt. Organization for their willful default attitude and ensured to bring these organizations to deposit the Provident Fund share due in favour of labour employees working in these organizations of Jammu division.
The speakers lauded the pro-employee working style of the retiring officer and declared him as a "Messiah" of poor labourers/employees who always stood as stunning rock as and when any wrong is done against the interest of the labour employees and always extended his helping hands to the genuine demands of the employees. The speakers further praised the working ot the said officer and felt the dent which has appeared due to his retirement and prayed to the almighty for his best of his post retirement life. |
