udhampur, June 2: Continuing it's offensive against narcotic smugglers, Udhampur Police today recovered 52 grams of heroin (Chitta) from a narcotic smuggler near Flata chowk, NHW, Rehmbal.
Police spokesman said that acting on reliable information, a police party of Rehmbal police station led by Inspector Sanjeev Chib, SHO Rehmbal under the supervision of Kulbir Handa, DySP Hqrs and Faisal Qureshi Addl. SP under overall supervision of SSP Udhampur Rayees Mohd. Bhat laid a naka at NHW near Flata Chowk Udhampur and during naka checking, police party of Rehmbal police party apprehended one narcotic smuggler namely Govind Ram of Padanoo, Udhampur and during his search, 52 gms of heroin (Chitta) was recovered from his possession, who was arrested on the spot and Heroin (Chitta) seized. In this connection, a case under FIR no. 68/2018 under section 8/21/22 NDPS Act has been registered at Rehmbal police station and further investigation of the case is taken up. It is pertinent to mention here that approximate cost of this consignment is about 5 lakhs. |
