| Major water crisis in Mendhar Cattle perish, several families migrate | | |

Poonch, June 11: 4 Major water crisis has reportedly erupted in Mendhar sub division compelling several families to migrate to the banks of local rivers, while the cattle are dying due to drying up of traditional water bodies.
People lambasted the PHE department for its lackadaisical approach. There was only one tank to cater the need of water to their tehsil of sub division including Manhole Balakote and Mendhar which has not been cleaned since ages and is infested with worms.
Locals allege that department was unmoved toward the plight of people and had no plan to tackle the crisis.
AEE PHE sub division Mendhar Munner Ahmed Khan when contacted admitted that there was water crisis, but expressed his helplessness to do anything pleading paucity of funds. |
