Jammu, June 16: A need base lineman on Saturday suffered an electric shock while he was repairing a technical snag on pole here on city outskirts.
"One need base lineman Sham Lal hailing from Bajalta, got electric shock while working on pole to repair a snag at Tawi Vihar in Sidhra area," Anil Singh Slathia, Vice President, Linemen and Workers Union here said.
He said that he suffered a powerful electric shock due to which his right hand damaged badly, adding, "he has been operated by the doctors."The Union leader however, has demanded compensation for the victim besides safety gadgets so that they can safely perform their duties. |
