| Unprovoked firing by Pak Army in Nowshera Sector | | | Early Times Report
Rajouri, July 7: Pakistan army in the morning hours today violates cease fire agreement in Nowshera sub district in which a soldier while manning the forward post received injuries and was hospitalized.
Sources said at about 7.30 am Pakisan army resorted to heavy firing on the forward Indian posts without any provocation in Kalal sub sector. SepoyVineesh .C with 4 years service received splinter injuries in the right leg and was immediately evacuated to nearby health centre by the colleagues. Sources said Indian soldier in a swift and effective action/ retaliation forced the Pakistani soldiers to silent their guns. The injured soldier after initial treatment at Nowshera army hospital was air lifted to Udhampur command hospital for specialized treatment.
About 20 days ago on the occasion of Eid festival Pakistan army had resorted to heavy shelling/firing in Pukhrani sub sector in the same area in which Rifleman Bikas Gurung of Gorkha unit had attained martyrdom. Indian army had cancelled the Sweet exchange ceremony at Chakan-da-Bagh (Poonch) in protest against the killing of the soldier. |
