Doda warriors drubs MCC Pune

Doda, July 7: Doda Warriors script convincing win against Modern Cricket Club (MCC) Pune by 3 runs in the ongoing All India 14th Gufran Memorial T-20 Cricket Championship 2018 at Sports Stadium here today.
The tournament is being organized by Young Star Cricket Club Doda and sponsored by 10 Rashtriya Rifles Unit Doda and J&K Bank. Earlier, winning the toss and batting first, Doda Warriors team scored 104 runs for the loss of 10 wickets in alloted 15 overs game. Naim Malik top scored with 29 runs, while Ajay Singh contributed runs to the total. For MCC Pune, Aashish Udeg took 3 wickets, while Ajinkya and Siddharth Kawade claimed 2 wickets each.
In reply, Modern Cricket Club Pune team managed to score only 101 runs in 14.5 overs, thus fell short of 03 runs and lost the match by the same margin. Mayur Ghokwale played a good innings of 30 runs, while Yashraj Nikom contributed valuable 18 runs to the total. For Doda Warriors, Pankay Sharma took 03 wickets, while Aqib Hussain and Vinay claimed 02 wickets each. Later on Naim Malik of Doda Warriors was adjudged as the man of the match for his brilliant batting display who was given prize by Chairman YSCC Naseer Khora and Noushair Butt.
The match was officiated by Yousuf Raza and Munish Zutshi as Umpires while Sandeep Kaushak acted as Scorer.
