Short-listing doesn't mean selection: HC | | | Early Times Report Jammu, July 7: The J&K High Court, while dismissing a petition challenging the select list of the candidates or the post of Pharmacists in Udhampur, has observed that short-listing does not confer any right to selection. Justice Sanjay Kumar Gupta, after hearing Deputy Advocate Generals Sanjeev Padha and Raman Sharma for the state, observed that the petitioner has participated in selection process with definite knowledge about methodology to be adopted by the recruiting agency for selection of posts of Pharmacists vide advertisement no.6 of 2004 dated 29.9.2004. "He could not succeed. Now he is challenging the selection process. Had he been selected, he could not have challenged the same. Mere fact that the petitioner was short-listed does not confer any right to selection," with these observations the court dismissed the petition challenging the selection list. |
