| JU students organize drawing competition | | |  Early Times Report
Jammu, July 7: The students of Jammu University today organised a drawing competition in the community hall of Trilokpur Village for the children of the village under the Swachh Bharat Summer Internship Program.
In the competition, around 45-50 children from various age groups participated with great enthusiasm.
The theme of the drawing was Swachh Bharat. It is pertinent to mention that not only boys but girls also participated in the competition giving a huge boost up to Beti Bchao Beti Padhao campaign. Senior volunteers of Jammu University namely Vikas Pandita (MCA Dept) , Vivek Parihar (Chemistry Dept), Harpreet Singh (Dogri Dept) and Gotam Sharma (Dogri Dept) coordinated the competition. The children were provided with basic facilities like charts, pencils, sharpeners, erasers and colors so that there is no barrier for them in expressing their views about cleanliness through the medium of art.
Prizes were also distributed among the children who stood first, second and third. Nitish Verma got first prize, Vanshika verma got second prize and Vansh Solan got third prize. Consolation prizes were also given to all the participants. |
