DFO Bhaderwah engages 'blue eyed' as contractuals despite ban | Rules are for fools | | Early Times Report
Jammu, July 19: Throwing government order into bin, the Divisional Forest Officer (DFO) Bhaderwah has engaged 'blue eyed' as contractuals in his office, despite clear direction of government against appointing contractuals. Reliable sources informed Early Times that DFO Bhaderwah Vivek Verma has engaged four daily wagers including a driver in Bhaderwah Forest Division and has also paid wages to them since March 2017 from the public exchequer. The four persons engaged as daily wagers by Verma in blatant violation of government directions are: Basharat Ahmed, Irshad Ahmed, Abhishek Kotwal and Abhinove Kotwal. Sources said that all four persons were illegally engaged as daily wagers and have been paid wages out of the government funds meant for timber extraction. "Bureaucrats had ignored eligible candidates and engaged those candidates who were not deserving as contractuals in many departments", sources said, adding that government in previous year issued order to all head of the department not to engage contractual, need base workers in their department. But division forest officer Bhaderwah had ignored government direction and appointed 'blue eyed' in various designation in their division. "At present thousands of educated youth are running from pillar to post for even a class IV job. This needs a thorough investigation and action be taken against the delinquent government officer for misusing his official position and putting government exchequer to loss", sources said. Chief Conservator of Forests, Doda was not available for comments despite repeated calls. |
