| ABVP members gherao VC chamber | | |  Early Times Report
Jammu, July 19: Activists of Akhil Bhartiya Vidhyarthi Parishad (ABVP) today gheroed the chamber of Vice Chancellor, against hike in fee in the name of Development Fund of Rs. 15,000 from each student.
In the previous days students have met the Vice Chancellor regarding this UIET fees hike but his attitude towards this issue was very ignorant, the students alleged, adding UIET fees hike has been led to unrest in the students and students gathered in the Vice Chancellor office and asked the authorities to meet him but VC refused to meet him.
The DSW Parmeshwari Bali Prof. Naresh Padha asked the students that this 15000 rupees is for development fund of the campus which is being developed at Janglote but when the students asked that this is a RUSA funded institutes and RUSA is paying for the building and infrastructure development, the authorities had no answer. Students said that they would wait till Monday if the VC would assured them that their issue shall be addressed but the VC refused to meet.
Others who were present were Piyush Khajuria Jammu Mahanagar Secretary, Ramneek Sharma President Jammu University Suyash Gupta Jammu University Secretary Taksh Jandyal Suchait Vemra Aryan Khajuria Farman Utkarsh and others. |
