| Authorities mislead PM about 'poor' Reasi village | | | Ashwani Sharma

Udhampur, July 21: Shockingly the authorities prepared a school girl with false data for video interaction with Prime Minister, Narendra Modi on status of power connections in village Dera of district Reasi. Under Deen Dyal Upadhayay Gramin Jyoti Yogna the PM was informed by the girl that most of the homes of her village are electrified while on visiting the village this reporter found that only a portion of the village is electrified. Another shocking fact which came to fore was that many adjoining villages too are awaiting electrification. Apart from this the labourers who helped in providing power connections to these villages had not yet got their wages. However, in these villages the roads were also not good and are in dilapidated condition. The villagers informed that they were living a miserable life with no one to take their care.
Also schools of this area are not up to the mark and are in broken and pitiable condition with low teacher strength for a large number of students.
Locals have appealed to the Governor N.N Vohra to get these problems solved so that the people of these villages may heave a sigh of relief.
