JAMMU, July 25: Prominent Congress leader of district Reasi and president Block Congress Committee, Pouni, Ajit Kumar Kesar, popularly known as Jeet Shah, passed away on Wednesday here at Super Speciality Hospital, where he was admitted after suffering a heart attack. According to family sources, Kesar (65) breathed his last around at 1:30 pm. His last rites will be performed tomorrow at his native place Pouni. Meanwhile, the senior Congress leader and former minister Jugal Kishore Sharma along with the entire Congress unit of district Reasi have condoled the sad demise of Ajit Kumar Kesar. In a condolence message, Jugal Kishore Sharma said that Ajit Kumar Kesar served the Congress with utmost dedication and hard work adding that the departed leader remained associated with the Congress for more than three decades which speaks volumes of his devotion and loyalty towards the party. His demise is a big loss to the Congress in general and the people of Reasi in particular. Others who condoled the demise of Kesar included president District Congress Committee, Reasi, Pritam Singh as well as Congress leaders Amit Sharma, Krishan Singh, Bishan Magotra, Rajinder Thappa and Rashpal Sharma. |
