JAMMU, July 25: Students of DPS Jammu brought laurels to the school by winning Prizes and cash award in Inter-School on the Spot Painting and Essay Writing Competition organized by Income Tax Department on account of celebrations of Income Tax Day at Jammu Club. The students were given topics on "Contribution of Income Tax in Nation Building", "My Green Planet", "Beti Bachao-Beti Padao." Sarthak Sharma (VII-K) won second prize and a cash award of Rs. 2000 in Painting Competition, Ayesha Konain (X-K) won third prize and cash award of Rs. 1500 while Suhasni Sharma (IX-K) and Ramnik Sharma (X-K) won consolation prize and cash award of Rs. 1000 each in Essay Writing Competition. Chief Guest, Permod Kohli, former Chief Justice of High Court of Sikkim, felicitated the winners. Principal, DPS Jammu, Ruchi Chabra congratulated all the winners and teacher incharges Suresh Sharma, Arti Sharma and Indu Bala. Headmistress Meenu Gupta also extended her best wishes. President, RCT, M.K Ajatshatru Singh, PVC, Kunwrani Ritu Singh and Director, S.S Sodhi congratulated all the winners and their parents. |
