Poor man looks for govt help after rains damaged his home | | | Ashwani Sharma Early Times Report Udhampur, Aug 2: The incessant rains damaged house of a poor man Suram Chand and he is moving from pillar to post to get some help from the government The 83-year- old Chand along with his wife are presently living in damaged house where rain water makes them look miserable. Further there is no safety from snakes and other animals. Chand lives in village Damnk of Panchayat Rassain in tehsil Ramnagar and distric Udhampur This poor man informed that he lives hand to mouth and after having all things at his home damaged his life has become miserable. He also said that this has also affected life of his wife and they have no prober clothes to wear and no proper bedding to sleep. He said that till date only a Patwari has visited him to access damage caused to his home but as of now no help is given to him by the government. He has appealed to the DC Udhampur Ravinder kumar to kindly access his losses and compensate him so that he may resume his life normally. He further said that the villagers are helping him to start his life a fresh. "Even no politician from any party visited my home while during the time of elections they frequently thronged our doors," he maintained. |
