BJP leaders worried after RSS's nod to strongly oppose Art 35-A
8/3/2018 12:20:41 AM
Early Times Report

Jammu, Aug 2: Annoyed with criminal silence maintained by state BJP leaders on Article 35-A, RSS has reportedly asked its wings to oppose this Article on all platforms to get political benefits across the country. RSS's decision to oppose Article 35-A has added woes to the BJP leaders, hoping to forming again in the state of J&K.
These leaders are desperately trying to keep this issue in back-burner to avoid confrontation with Kashmir based leaders who are holding back-channel interaction with BJP leadership for stitching alliance.
There is feeling among power hungry BJP leaders that Article 35-A has potential to spoil the chances of forming government so they have been trying their best that this issue should not be raised at any platform.
Interestingly PDP and NC leaderships are unanimous in opposing any fiddling with Article 35-A but BJP, which was earlier in the forefront of opposing this Article is now trying to keep it cold-storage to enjoy power.
RSS, sources said, had earlier asked BJP leaders to counter PDP and other parties which are giving threats against abrogation of Article 35-A but due to their hunger for power BJP leaders could not get guts to counter own coalition partner.
A green signal has already been given to different wings of RSS to organize seminars and symposium in different platforms to oppose this Article.
One RSS supported organization is already involved in creating awareness against this Article and another organization "We The Citizens" has already challenged constitutional validity of Article 35-A in the Supreme Court.
